A preference analysis and justification of Arabic written corrective feedback among instructors and undergraduates

چکیده

There has been extensive discussion on the need to use corrective feedback in writing within foreign language learning. Essentially, is one of important tools improving students’ skills learning a language. This study aims find out preference and justification written (WCF) through Google Docs among instructors students higher institute. The effects direct indirect with metalinguistic comments were also studied determine their suitability teaching Arabic Quantitative qualitative data collected (1) identify preferred type students, (2) type, (3) examine post-test score differences between types correction feedback. Two questionnaires adapted distributed 93 first-year four for Academic Writing. five interviewed WCF. A total 50 respondents divided into two groups according WCF provided, scores compared if there was any significant difference findings show that prefer while comments. Post-test indicate achieved by who received indicates are able process supplemented Moreover, an online environment provides more opportunities highlight errors clearly.
